FUNDING AND FEES

Understanding how placements are funded

Placements at High View Care Services are specialist and are funded through a range of routes, depending on the individual's circumstances and the commissioning arrangements in place.

The most common funding routes are through local authorities and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), who commission specialist placements for adults with acquired brain injury and complex needs as part of their statutory responsibilities. Case managers working on behalf of litigation clients and personal injury solicitors also commission placements with us, where an individual has received a legal settlement following a brain injury. In addition, some individuals privately fund their care.

In some cases, placements may be arranged by hospital discharge teams or social workers working to find the right post-acute setting for someone leaving a hospital or specialist unit.

We are experienced in working with all of these commissioning routes and are happy to discuss funding arrangements as part of the referral conversation. We will always be clear about fees and timescales before any placement is agreed.

FUNDING AND FEES

Transparent fees, agreed before placement begins

We believe that families and commissioning professionals deserve complete clarity about fees. There are no hidden costs at High View Care Services. Before any placement begins, we produce a letter of outcome inclusive of full fee information.

Fees at High View reflect the genuinely specialist nature of what we provide. The consistency, expertise and 24/7 wraparound model that makes our approach effective is reflected in the cost.

Our weekly fees are individually calculated following a comprehensive assessment and reflect each person’s needs and required level of support. We are happy to discuss our indicative base rates at any stage of the enquiry process. Please contact us directly, and we will provide clear and transparent information tailored to the individual.

MAKING A REFERRAL

A clear, structured referral process

Making a referral to High View Care Services is designed to be straightforward. You can begin by getting in touch via the form on our contact page, by phone or by email. You do not need to have all the information ready before making first contact. We are always happy to have an initial conversation before a formal referral is submitted.

Once a referral is received, our Assessment Team will carry out a preliminary review of suitability within two working days. If it looks like High View Care services is an appropriate service, we will move toward a pre-admission assessment, which involves a collaborative consultation with the client, their family and any relevant professionals, wherever possible in the client's current setting.

From there, we produce a letter of outcome with weekly costings. Once funding is agreed a full placement proposal covering the recommended support provision and the client's goals will be provided. At every stage, we will make sure you know what to expect and when.

For a detailed walkthrough of what happens from first contact through to a client’s admission, please visit our Admissions Process page.
