High View provides a homely, supportive, living environment where clients feel safe, secure, valued and empowered.

High View offers a year-round residential rehabilitation and support service for 29 men and women aged between 18 and 65 years from diverse backgrounds.

Our clients tend to have various functional and cognitive issues, sometimes accompanied by addiction-related impairments sustained from prolonged abuse of drugs or alcohol.

High View’s social care and neuropsychology teams provide a structured rehabilitation service in a genuinely supportive environment, respectful of the client’s dignity and values. We encourage clients to set goals for the short and longer term. Supporting them in achieving these is central to our ethos of continuing improvement, building on achievements and the aspiration for improved independence. We also work alongside external treatment programmes, facilitate in-house group and individual Counselling sessions, enabling sustainable progress and the overall improvement of our clients’ quality of life, wellbeing and functioning.

Our evidence-based therapeutic interventions are currently helping adults with:

  • Traumatic Brain injury
  • Stroke
  • Acquired brain injury related to substance misuse or Alcohol and drug related problems
  • Cognitive impairment resulting from alcohol and drug misuse
  • Challenging behaviour due to substance misuse
  • Mild learning disabilities with substance misuse
  • Dual diagnosis (mental health) with alcohol and drug misuse

High View Care takes quality seriously. That's why we regularly undertake quality audits of our services, survey clients and other stakeholders, participate in frequent front line practice evaluations and clinical governance sessions. We are Registered with and regularly monitored and inspected for quality by The Care Quality Commission, whose reports are available here
